It’s the end of the second grading period this week. The first semester has blown by!

Axson has a semi-finalist for the district spelling bee!
Lauryn Feacher will compete in the district spelling bee. We are all cheering you on, Lauryn! I hope her Axson friends can attend the spelling bee taking place January 24th, 6 pm at Mandarin Middle School’s auditorium.
The new t-shirt designs are expected to be delivered this week
They are uber cool thanks to the handy work of one of our Axson dads, Mr. Rowland and input from upper elementary students. Short sleeve shirts are $10 and long sleeves are $15. PTA will set up a table in front of building three before school when they arrive. Look for a sell date next Friday in my next Weekly Update.
We will gladly take your water/juice pouches
One of our paras/parents is redeeming juice/water pouches for money through Terra Cycle. She has raised $62.00 for FAME (Friends of Axson Montessori Elementary). There is a drop off bin in the cafeteria. All that needs to be done is cut the top of the pouch off and rinse them. If you buy pouches, we are happy to redeem them for money. :)
The used book sale is next Monday and Tuesday
It takes place in the music suite from 8:30 am - 6:00 pm. All monies benefit the media center and that means materials for the children. If you still wish to donate books, it’s not too late. :)
