The Farmers Market is back!
Are you interested in regionally-grown fruits and/or vegetables? Free range eggs? Honey? Jams? Please complete the attached slip and drop it off in the office Monday or send it back to me electronically. We prefer that you pay Monday but we know you are “good for it” if you pay when you pick up your order Wednesday. :)
Long-sleeve T-shirts are on the way!
And thanks to an Axson dad, Mr. Rowland, we have a super cool new design AND multi-color printing. Moms/grandmas, we have ladies cut shirts as well, (so glad not to wear my man shirts on Tuesdays). Expect to see them in two weeks.

I just received a check for $400 to put towards class supplies and toilet paper. Our annual goal is $2,000 and our next due date is in March, I believe. Consider asking family members to cut out BoxTops and send them to you. We’d be mighty grateful.
Calling out for your help
The speed limit on campus is 15 mph. Vehicles are NOT to cut across the grass in the front car loading zone. Cars are NOT to park in the bus zone or the area on the pavement in front of the bus zone. We have over 100 three and four year olds and we MUST following these very simple guidelines to provide a safe environment for the children. This is where your help comes in: When you see a person doing any the actions noted above, tell him/her “You are creating an unsafe environment for children.” You can also report cars to me. I am trying to convey this in the nicest possible way but as you can tell I am quite frustrated while VERY worried about student safety before school.
Do you have another child that is on the waitlist this year or finally old enough to attend in the 2012-2013 school year?
All applications are due February 29th. Pre-kindergarten applications are given to us. Children in grades kindergarten and higher must be delivered to the School Choice Office at 1701 Prudential Drive (school board building). Please notate “sibling” at the top of the PK application. There is a space to fill in “sibling on the K-5 application. Siblings beyond first grade have priority above the first grade if they attended another Montessori school. PLEASE LET US KNOW if you are submitting an application to Student Choice. I try very hard to make certain all siblings are accepted but I can’t do that if you do not let us know. You can contact Kathy Bear at 992-3600 x109 or beark@duvalschools.org. Once your child has been accepted, you do not need to submit another application until your child moves on to middle school. If you have any questions about the process please do not hesitate to contact anyone in the office.
