J. Allen Axson Montessori School and PTA

Welcome To J. Allen Axson Public Montessori School. We are Duval County’s first public Montessori school established in August, 1991. We have a lovely campus located near the beaches area where each classroom opens to its own garden. This year, 550 students coming from all parts of Jacksonville will attend Axson in grades pre-kindergarten through fifth grade.

J. Allen Axson Montessori has been designated an “A” school for several years. But more than our school’s grade, our students engage in rich experiences while staying true to the philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori. We are grateful to our large parent support system and community participation to see our vision become reality.
